Ziggy

Ziggy's human writes: He's about 3 years old and is a happy, playful little boy. Very friendly and affectionate, he will cry if someone passes by him without saying 'hi'. I got him when he was a puppy while living in Las Vegas, but now we live in New Jersey. We took busses the whole way and he stayed in the seat next to me sleeping mostly.

Maggie's human writes: Maggie was in foster care with AARF, and she will be 3 years old on April 10, 2014.

Nala

Nala's human writes: My puppy is named Nala, and she is about 7 months old. She is a Jackhuahua, although she is more like the size of a Jack Russell at 20 lbs. She is mostly white with some blonde patches of fur and a curly tail. I have attached some pictures of her at about 6 weeks old and some of her recently. I have raised this puppy and she is so intelligent. She knows how to Sit, Lay Down, Roll Over, Come Here, and Shake. She is potty trained and she knows a lot of other words like Daddy, hungry, thirsty, potty, no, and many more. She can play fetch, jump up to eye level with me ( I am 5'5), and she catches her toy if you throw it up in the air. I am amazed everyday at how intelligent she is. This is my first Jack Russell mix dog, but it will not be my last. When I got Nala, she was literally covered head to toe in fleas. There were at least a hundred on her. She had no shots and was filthy. She ate like she was starving. I feel really good about the home and life I have been able to give to her. I do not know what I would do without my baby Nala.

Daisy and her best friend Trixie

Daisy human writes: This is Daisy with her adopted Jack Russell sister Trixie. They are both rescue dogs and Daisy joined us about a month ago. Daisy is ten months old and has had to go through three owners to get to us but she is well settled in and loving her company, Trixie. Trixie needed a chum to be a big sister to!!

Bentley

Bentley's human writes: Above are pictures of our jackhuahua puppy Bentley. The first picture is when we first got him and the rest are current. He is now 1 and a half. He is the cheekiest pup we have ever come across. He never ceases to amaze us with just how much mischief he can get up to. He is great with kids and generally playful and loving. We have trouble getting him back off people that have asked to hold or stroke him because they all want to take him home, which we could never let happen. I hope you enjoy reading about him and seeing his pictures as much as we enjoy having him in our lives.

Gizmo & Lola update

Gizmo and Lola's human writes:

Gizmo is now 28 months  and Lola is 26 months.

Gizmo is the mischievous one and is always pinching underwear and socks if he can get a chance. Lola is like a little lap dog: very lively but likes nothing more than you petting her constantly.

 

Lola also thinks she is the boss and for all she is smaller than Gizmo, she is always trying to let him know she is or thinks she is in charge.

 

They are both best of friends really and have both been taken care of so we have no baby accidents.

Woody and Daisy

Woody and Daisy's human writes:  These are my two jackahuahuas, Woody (tan) and Daisy (black and tan). They are brother and sister and are two years old. When puppies they were very naughty and chewed everything in sight, hiding in bags and under furniture to escape justice, but they have grown into two of the most loving and loyal companions you could wish for.

Fudge

Fudge's human writes from the UK: This is Fudge. He is a one year old, 3.5kg Jackhuahua. He is lovely. He loves to cuddle on the settee and play fetch. He us definitely a bug dog in a tiny body! We love him.

Gizmo & Lola

Gizmo and Lola's human writes: Here is a picture of my two Jackhuahuas. Gizmo is the larger of the two. He is 14 months and a first generation cross. His Mum was a Jack Russell and his dad a Chihuahua. Lola is 12 months and second generation. Her parents were both Jackhuahuas. They both have totally different temperaments, although both are friendly and loving little characters.

Jackhuahua breeder request

 She wrote: Two months ago we had to put our most beloved Jack Russell Terrier to sleep. She was 14 1/2 years old. We love the JRT breed, and are considering a new dog for the family.

Buchi's human writes: She is about 2 and half months old. I just recently adopted her from a shelter. She's the cutest thing and very fun to have around the house. :)
